Gas Liquids Engineering Ltd. (GLE) completed EPCM services on the installation of a third de-ethanizer train at the Cutbank Gas Plant. The NGL stream generated by the Karr 07-11 condensate stabilization trains was re‑routed to this new process train. The outputs from this new de-ethanizer train will be a sellable high vapour pressure “propane plus” (C3+) liquids product and a rich overheads gas stream.
Existing systems at Cutbank that were impacted by this project:
- Inlet Separator (Hydrocarbon Liquid Outlet)
- Train 1 and 2 De-ethanizer Feed Separators (Hydrocarbon Liquid Outlets)
- NGL Sales (Storage and Truck-out)
- Recycle Compression
- High Pressure Flare
- Fuel Gas
- Instrument Air
- Hydrocarbon Drain
- Electrical Loading and Infrastructure
New equipment that was installed installed:
- New Process Inlet Separator
- Repurposing of existing pipeline installed at Cutbank Gas Plant
- New dedicated inlet pig receiver
- Installation of one (1) new de-ethanizer train, not equipped with refrigeration or reflux system
- New feed drum and three (3) feed pumps operating in 3 x 50% configuration
- Installation of four (4) additional 60,100 US Gallon bullets
- Installation of two (2) new truck-out stations
- Installation of additional independent Heat Medium package
