Gas Liquids Engineering Ltd. (GLE) completed engineering and procurement services on a central battery located southwest of Fox Creek, Alberta after a successful FEED study. The central battery was designed with the following:
- 30 MMSCF/d raw inlet gas, 10,000 bbl/d inlet condensate, 4000 bbl/d inlet produced water flow
- Multi-vessel inlet separation with slug catching (452 bbl)
- Produced water separation
- Gas compression
- Inlet Gas Compression: 2 x 50%, G3608TALE gas engine drivers and Ariel JGT/4 two-stage reciprocating compressors (2500 hp @ 1000 RPM)
- Overhead Compression: 2 x 60%, Toshiba 400 hp EMD’s each driving an Ariel JG/4, two-stage, 4 throw, sweet natural gas compressors
- TEG gas dehydration package
- Condensate stabilization
- Ethylene glycol regeneration for pipeline hydrate inhibition
- 67 MMSCF/d HP flare & 2 MMSCF/d LP flare
- Liquids Storage
- 4 x 3000 bbl condensate storage tanks
- 1 x 3000 bbl produced water storage tank
- 1 x 1000 bbl clarifier tank
- 1 x 400 bbl slop tank
- 1 x 400 bbl dry ethylene glycol tank
- 1 x 400 bbl wet ethylene glycol tank
- 1 x 400 bbl wash water tank
- 3 x 100 bbl pop / drain tanks
- 25 MMBtu/hr process and 3 MMBtu/h utility heat medium
- 1.0 MMSCF/d Vapour Recovery Unit
- Instrument air with twin compressors and dryers
- Utility and fuel gas systems
- Liquid transfer systems (water injection, condensate LACT)
- Modularized pre-loaded piperacks
- Civil design of 1.5 km access road (10 m wide, up to 7% slope), site grading, containment dyke, retention pond, major equipment foundations, and structural steel
