Devon Energy – Lago de Presentes

Gas Liquids Engineering Ltd. (GLE) provided EPCM services for Devon Energy to construct a new 2km water injection pipeline in the Gift Lake area of north-central Alberta. An existing 2” Fiberspar pipeline had reached the end of its useful life and it was decided to replace it with a 3” steel pipeline.

  • Water Injection Pipeline: 1920 m long pipeline, 88.9 mm (3 NPS) outside diameter, maximum operating pressure (MOP) of 14890 kPag (2160 psig), welded steel pipe CSA Z245.1 Grade 359 Cat II Sour ERW

GLE also completed the replacement of the injection water filtration system at the 10-32 Water Injection facility for the produced water. The upgraded filtration system was designed to handle 600 m3/d of produced water.
