Gas Liquids Engineering Ltd. (GLE) provided complete EPCM services for multiple expansions at Plains Midstreams Regina Crude Oil Terminal.
Tank Upgrade & Terminal Expansion
- Project scope included:
- Design of 150,000 bbl oil storage tank foundationDesign of new earthen berm system, and modification of existing earthen berm system
- Installation of a 150,000 bbl oil storage tank
- Installation of a new booster pump, mixers, VFD’s, and flow lines
- Installation of electric heat tracing
- Full in-house EI&C Engineering
C4 Tank Addition & Butane Injection Program
An initial FEED Study was also completed to add a Butane truck-in, storage and pumping capability in order to inject Butane into the existing Wascana and SPPL pipeline systems at the Regina Terminal. The FEED Study proceeded into detailed design. Project scope included the installation of:
- One (1) 90,000 US Gallon Butane Storage Bullet with provision for a future second 90,000 US Gallon Butane Storage Bullet
- One (1) C4 Truck-In / Truck-Out skid
- SSPL Mainline C4 pump c/w VFD
- Tie-in to existing SPPL system
- Flow meter for pipeline injection
- Flow meter at truck-in/truck-in skid
- Use of space in the new MCC #4 Building that was added as part of Wascana Sweet South
