Kinder Morgan – Doe Canyon

Gas Liquids Engineering Ltd. (GLE) provided engineering, procurement, construction support, and startup assistance for the install of a DexPro™ dehydration unit at Kinder Morgan’s Doe Canyon facility near Cortez, Colorado. The DexPro™ dehydration unit has the following specifications:

  • 30 MMSCF/d Inlet Design Capacity
  • Design Conditions: 1000 psig @ 120°F Main Process / 2250 psig @ 120°F High Pressure Recycle System
  • Operating Conditions: 750 psig @ 110°F Main Process
  • 25 lb/MMSCF Water Removal
  • One (1) 36” OD x 8’ Independent Low Temperature Separator (LTS) to prevent overloading of compressor scrubber
  • Two (2) 24” ID x 12’ Gas-Gas Exchangers in Series
  • 6500 psig Thornhill Craver JT Valve
  • Danfoss CLP675H Hydrate Inhibitor Pump
  • A/B CompactLogix Modular Controller System c/w 10” PanelView HMI
  • Micro Motion Elite CMF100 Mass Flow Meter c/w MVD‑2500 Transmitter
  • Compact Skid: 7’ Wide x 16’ Long x 12’ High
  • Operational Q3 2014
