Gas Liquids Engineering Ltd. (GLE) provided EPCM services for the replacement of an existing 3500 hp gas re-injection compressor at Husky Energy’s A-Pool site with a new 1200 hp electric drive compressor. The existing compressor suffered a compressor and motor failure after a lube oil system failed. The project involved the installation of:
- One (1) 1200 hp 4160 V 3-phase @ 60hz electric drive Ariel JGH-4 2-stage reciprocating compressor c/w local PLC, associated switchgear and soft start for motor
- Liquids pump skid to remove condensed hydrocarbons and water from existing 3-phase separator
- 10” Flare Stack c/w 24 V DC igniter panel
- Two (2) Instrument Air Compressors
- 300# ANSI PSV for existing inlet separator
- New SCADA system
- New 4160 VAC Supply Lines & Transformer
- 480 V MCC Cabinet, 120 V AC Transformer, 120 V DC and 12 V DC UPS System
