Gas Liquids Engineering Ltd. (GLE) provided EPC services for Foothills Creamery to replace an aging compressor and condenser at their Calgary facility.
The facility produces 25000 lb/d of Butter, 8000 L/d of Hard Ice Cream, and 6000 L/d of Soft Ice Cream. The products are either stored in a blast freezer at -30°C or the regular freezer at -23°C.
Project scope included:
- Removal of two (2) Mycom N6WA 20 hp Reciprocating Compressors and associated equipment
- Removal of Toromont ATC-150 condenser and associated equipment
- Installation of Mycom N160VLD-TE 125 hp Screw Compressor Package and associated equipment
- Installation of EXEL VTO-41-J Condenser c/w Cooler Sump Pump (3 hp 125 US gpm), Exchanger Supply Pump (3 hp, 45 US gpm), Sump Tank (400 gallon)
