Gas Liquids Engineering Ltd. (GLE) provided mechanical, civil, and structural design, and construction support to install a polymer injection package to an existing oil battery to increase oil production from six (6) wells in Southeast Alberta. Produced water free of oil was used in the polymer injection process. Project scope included:
- An induced gas flotation (IGF) package was installed to remove the majority of the oil carryover
- Filtration skid was installed to remove the remaining oil, particulates and iron from the produced water.
- Eight (8) new skid buildings listed below were installed onsite. All skids were equipped with an open or closed floor drain system that allows pumping to the waste handling tank.
- Two (2) polymer injection buildings
- Four (4) water treatment buildings
- One (1) vapour recovery unit (VRU)
- One (1) polymer storage building
- Four new storage tanks were built
- One (1) 2000 bbl raw water storage tank
- One (1) 750 bbl waste handling tank
- One (1) 1000 bbl settling tank
- One (1) 1000 bbl treated water holding tank
- Installation of 6 km of gathering lines
