Baytex Energy – Westerose

Gas Liquids Engineering Ltd. (GLE) provided complete EPCM services to construct a new oil battery, tie-in seven (7) existing oil wells, and design injection facilities for solution gas to be re-injected into the formation in the Westerose Field located near Rimbey, Alberta. Project scope included:

  • Seven (7) 4” diameter pipelines totaling 12.1 km
  • Oil battery with solution gas injection compression facility
  • 10 MMSCF/d solution gas compression facility for re‑injection.
  • 1200 bbl/d oil truck loading facilities.
  • Inlet group and test header complete with pigging facilities
  • Inlet ESD system
  • Inlet ground and test separation package
  • Measurement facilities
  • 2750 hp 3-stage electric driven Dresser-Rand 6HOS-4 compressor package
  • Recycle pumps (5 hp)
  • Instrument air system (15 hp)
  • VRU (10 hp)
  • 1.5 MMBtu/hr and a 0.5 MMBtu/hr line heaters for group and test headers respectively.
  • Office / MCC building with automated shutdown, alarm, call out and electrical systems
  • Two (2) 2000 bbl sales oil storage tanks
  • One (1) 1000 bbl recycle / slop / additional storage tank
  • One (1) 210 bbl water storage tank
  • One (1) 100 bbl flare knock out tank
  • Two (2) skid drain tanks
  • Flare system
  • 4160 V / 480 V 3-phase @ 60 Hz power supplied by grid
