IT Support - Intermediate Desktop Support Analyst
We are currently looking for a dynamic and dedicated individual to provide desktop support and related IT support to our busy and growing Calgary Offices.
Reporting to the Senior Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for providing desktop support to our draftsmen, engineers, and support staff for their day to day issues; as well as being responsible for helping out with the day to day operations of the network and its systems. A thorough knowledge of Windows 7 and related applications like Office2010 and Office 2013 will allow you to troubleshoot software issues and are essential to your success. Knowledge of CAD, related and engineering applications, knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Networking, and server related products is also beneficial
- Microsoft Certifications
- 2 to 5 years desktop Experience, Windows Operating systems, Hardware, Networking, MS Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, Track-IT, Kaspersky AV
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Strong ability to learn new applications and systems
- Excellent Hardware knowledge
- Would be considered an asset:
- Working knowledge with AutoCAD, VPN, Promax, HTRI, VMG, Hysys, Soft track, VMware, MS Exchange, BYOD devices, and remote access technologies.
You will be responsible for level 1 desktop support for all of our 250 users. Your knowledge in desktop, application, and network support will allow you to excel in this position.
Creating new workstations from bare bones boxes, as well as troubleshooting and repairing workstations that have been pulled from production.
Inventory control will also be in your realm so your strong enumerating and Excel skills will come in handy to perform this function.
You will be a part of our current IT support team so good interpersonal skills will allow you to integrate into our existing team, and become a trusted resource. Your skill set will allow you to make suggestions to the Senior Systems Analyst on how to streamline current desktop support operations and will allow you to carry out changes to this support system as they are approved.
